A Couple's Prayer

When I look back on days gone by I know for sure that time must fly It seems like so few days ago that our special love began to grow. So many things have come and gone and yet our love remains as strong. We've gone through both the good and bad. At times we're happy, at others sad. We've done and said so many things, and always this love within us sings. We do not know what the future holds, and must face each day as it unfolds. Yet as we stand here heart to heart, we know we never shall be apart. Our love will always see us through, because our love has proven true. Now as we stand here bound in love, we lift our hearts to God above. And as we for our lives prepare, we offer up this simple prayer: Oh Lord we thank thee for this love, for all good things come from above. We thank thee for thy truth and grace, and for granting us the strength to face, the problems that have come our way. We thank thee for this right to pray. The privilege to face your throne, and know that you are God alone. Oh Lord we come this day as one, and bring our sins to Christ your son. Give us the strength to face each test and in your perfect love find rest. Two separate people you did find, and now our lives have you entwined. Give us oh Lord the strength to last, as you have always in the past. Let our true love never fade away, and let us never see the day, where we no longer feel the thrill, that love has brought, and brings us still. May our hearts forever care, as our lives, oh God we share. May we stand the test of time, as we stand, our hands in thine. Dear Lord we pray, bring this to pass, until that day we breath our last. Then bring us up Oh Lord to thee Where we shall live eternally.
